Cool Lightning – On our way home from Tifton to Savannah.

The lightning was so beautiful we had to pull over and take a couple of photos. Unfortunately Shayna was standing in a fire ant bed and she got like 30 bites before she realized it. Those pesky ants totally killed the moment. But I did get a couple of cool photos. Hope you like.

We have been on the road for 4 weeks out of the last… 4 weeks. Ha! It’s good to finally be home. We were up in Nashville, TN for a little over a week for some family time with Shayna’s family and we shot a wedding at the Hermitage Hotel. Then we traveled down to Tifton, GA for a week full of shoots and a wedding at First Baptist Church. Then we hit the road to Hilton head for a portrait session. After that we traveled down to Fernandina, Florida for a unique “Fairy Tale” photo shoot with our niece. We wound up staying at the Florida House Inn which is a little known secret hidden on 3rd Street in historic downtown Fernandina. We were told that it is one of the oldest hotels in the United States. Wyatt Earp and his crew have made the use of the comfortable rooms at this quaint inn on more than one occasion. Due to an emergency with one of our family members during our time on the road, I must say that is was one of the hardest times of my life. God taught us a lot about self sacrifice and unconditional love. Now that we’re home I do feel a little stir crazy. I am looking forward to enjoying the comforts we have until we hit the road again in a few weeks. We’ll have some of the photos from our journeys uploaded soon. But for now enjoy these shots from Fernandina.

Crazy Love – Frances Chan

If you haven’t heard of Frances Chan then you don’t know what you are missing. We will be posting some of his videos on our journey blog from time to time. But for now go and buy this book! Shayna and I try to spend every morning reading a book of devotion, something that will build our faith and encourage our walk with God. We just started this book about a week ago. The concepts are so simple but so overlooked in our modern day lives. If you want to read an article on Frances Chan to get an idea of what you might be getting into click here. Our Journey

We decided to start a blog about our life and our journey. Stories that we tell our friends, the life and times that we find ourselves in during our time on earth. We hope to inspire you to think outside your box. To realize that life was meant for so much more than being comfortable. This temporary existence that we call life will one day fade away. We are on a journey to start living like there is no tomorrow… like this breath may be our last… We have decided to live as Jesus himself told the disciples to live. Jesus also told the rich young man to sell everything he had, give it to the poor, and come follow Him. Then he would have eternal life. We are on a journey to do just that. What we have is not our own, what we have is yours. We hope that you will join us on this journey, and that you too will hear the voice of God and do what he calls you to do.
